Clairemont History Committee
The Clairemont History committee was formed in 2022 to inventory and make available to the public a variety of historical materials related to the Clairemont community of San Diego . The goal of the committee is to gather diverse historical materials in one online location to make available to anyone interested in the history of the of the Clairemont neighborhood going back to 1950.
One of the first items that caught our attention was this 24-page booklet created by Janet Poutre, publisher of Clairemont Community News in 2008. You can view the entire brochure here: Clairemont: A Special Look Back at our History
Join the History Committee
The History Committee meets every few months to review materials and plan events. We sponsor a booth at Clairemont Family Day in September and at the Clairemont Garden Tour in May where we display aerial photos of Clairemont back in the day.
